2020 AGM

Annual General Meeting

Members of Harness Racing ACT are invited to attend the club’s Annual General Meeting, which will be held in the Snowy River Room at EPIC.

Nominations for the Executive – President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and 5 committee members, must be received by the CHRC office no later than COB Friday 4th September 2020.

The AGM will have social distancing procedures and all safety requirements in place according to our COVID-19 management plan.

To assist the office, please advise via email (admin@capitaltrots.com.au) or phone (0421 782 298) if you will be attending the AGM.

Access to the Snowy River Room at EPIC will be via the Woolworths/MacDonald’s entrance, with parking alongside the kerb at SRR and on the grass across from SRR.

All monies raised from sponsorship, dinner table bookings and raffle go directly to the Prostate Cancer Support Group – ACT Region.

2020 Xmas Cup

Races will include the Hygain Mitavite Xmas Cup and Brian Sullivan Memorial.

First race estimated start: 6.15pm.

Cost & activities

Free entry, including plenty of kids’ activities. We will also have a raffle and lucky door prizes.

Bookings

Please contact the office on 0421 782 298 to book a table for dinner as capacity limits inside the Snowy River Room will be strictly monitored.

Dinner

Due to the current restrictions, there will be no charity event or buffet dinner this year.

The café will be serving the usual seafood baskets, hot roast pork/chicken rolls with gravy, and also Christmas cold meats with salads. Desserts include home-made Christmas pudding with custard/icecream and Pavlova.

You can also come along with a rug and picnic and sit on the grassed area outside the Grandstand to watch some great racing on the night.

Spectators

Spectators are welcome to attend our race meetings, free of charge, and can enjoy some great entertainment from out on the grass, track-side, or in the Grandstand.

Entry to EPIC is via the Woolworths garage/Maccas gate on the Federal Highway or via the main EPIC entrance on Flemington Road. Parking is available opposite the Grandstand.

All spectators must enter the Grandstand at the Snowy River Room.

Mini trots

Harness Racing ACT mini trots are a children’s versions of the harness racing sport and aim to develop interest in harness racing at an early age.

Junior drivers between the ages of 5 and 17 years drive ponies in organised harness races, which are held at many CHRC race meetings.

Mini trots aim to promote friendly competition in an atmosphere of co-operation and good sportsmanship, encouraging social interaction for all concerned.
